Corn Lake is located in Corn Lake State Park just off 32 Road next to the Colorado River. The lake was formed when the ground water was allowed to fill the gravel pit that was operated by Corn Construction. The lake is regularly stocked with trout but it also has a self sustaining population of bluegill and perch.

There is room to park near the boat ramp near 32 Road or at the other end of the lake at the trailhead for the Corn Lake Section of the Riverfront trail.

While water craft aren't permitted on the lake there is a boat ramp that provides access to the Colorado River.

Bat habitats can be spotted in a few of the large cottonwood trees.

The trail isn't paved all the way around the lake but it is probably packed well enough for a baby stroller.

There are numerous fishing spots all around the lake.

The north side of the lake is treeless and can get pretty hot in the summer months. There are several very old vault toilets on the north side of the lake.

Greylag Geese are one of the most common residents at Corn Lake. When they tire of the water they do their  best to keep the shores painted. Corn Lake is a popular destination with the youth in the area that can ride their bikes there and get in some fishing. If you would like to see it for yourself then all you have to do is 'Take a hike'.
